Baytril (enrofloxacin) is a broad spectrum antibiotic from the general class of fluoroquinolones. It is believed to work by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA within the bacteria, resulting in bacterial death. Baytril is used to treat a variety of infections of the skin, respiratory tract, urinary tract, and in wounds caused by susceptible bacteria.
